Every Easter, my mother baked. I was always underfoot, wanting to help, really just waiting to lick the whisk. Butter, sugar, eggs, fresh vanilla bean steeped in warm milk. Not the finished cake. Just that, quiet, raw, and already perfect. GÂTEAU DES ANGES is my attempt to bottle it.

A flormand fragrance, floral vanilla at its heart, but vanilla as it was meant to be. Subtle. Sophisticated.

What does GÂTEAU DES ANGES smell like? It opens with butter, warm, immediate. Then lemon and peach come in, and when the milk note arrives it does something unexpected: there's a brief, nostalgic flash of fruity cereal. It made me smile the first time I smelled it. It doesn't last long, but it's there. Then the honeysuckle shows up, a soft floral sweetness, nothing heavy. And from there it dries down into vanilla, real vanilla, the kind with depth. There's a touch of tuberose that keeps it from going simple, and a faint pastry note underneath, like a madeleine just out of the oven.
