After living on Mercer Street, I headed back uptown to East 67th Street, right off Central Park. I was living and working in 10021, surrounded by the greatest fashion houses in the world.
So when Nick Nixon sent me a fragrance sample inspired by fine fabrics and asked for my opinion, I immediately understood what he was trying to capture. The minute I smelled it, it took me back to that time in my life and the feeling of putting on a perfectly fitted Armani suit.
I sent his sample to our perfumer, Maud Chabanis, in Grasse, to interpret in her own way while preserving what had resonated with me and, more importantly, staying true to what Nick had envisioned.
10021 opens with Italian lemon oil and warm nutmeg, followed by saffron and rose over white musk and patchouli. Luxurious and elegant, like the ZIP code it’s named for.
